To cultivate professional talent with perspectives in social ecology and multi-level systems, the ability to change individual and collective behaviors, the capacity to conduct social interventions and assess their effects, and skills in translation and communication.

- Describe the basic theories, concepts, and models from a range of social and behavioral disciplines that are used in public health research and practice.

- Apply evidence-based approaches in the development and evaluation of social and behavioral science interventions.
